Roofing picked up a reputation over the years and a lot of it was earned. Knocking on the door the morning after a storm. Pressure to sign before you have had time to think. We do the opposite, and most of that is just bringing service back and treating you like a person.
That is how we talk about a roof. If yours is fine, we will say it is fine. If it has ten years left, that is what you will hear. We are not going to dress up a condition to make a sale out of it.
Plenty of them can be repaired, and we will tell you when yours is one of them. A repair that solves the problem is a better answer than a replacement you did not need.
It is one of four ways to go, and often it is not the best one. It should be a choice you make, not the default.
A roof is one of the biggest checks a homeowner ever writes. Sometimes it is life savings. We do not take that lightly. What we say we will do is what gets done.

A roof is three things: the wood deck it sits on, the layer over that, and the shingles you can see. We check all three, from up on the roof and from inside the attic where there is access. What matters most is usually what you cannot see from the driveway.
Gutters, siding, metal trim, windows. Storms do not stop at the roofline, and a look that only covers shingles misses things.
You get photos of the actual condition, not a verbal summary. You should be able to see exactly what we saw.
We go through it together and talk about what each option really means for you. Take as long as you need with it.
We go through all four. Then you pick the one you are most comfortable with.
A real option, and sometimes the right one. If you choose it, we will tell you what to watch for so you can keep an eye on it yourself.
Where the damage can be repaired, we will say so. Not everything needs a full replacement, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

The point is that you stay in control. Your carrier talks to you, not to us. You know what is on your own roof, and you can answer questions about it.
We are roofers. We document condition and we know code and shingles. Questions about your policy or your coverage go to your carrier or your agent. We are not going to tell you what your policy covers, and we cannot speak for what your carrier will decide.
